Empowering the community to improve their circumstances by maintaining and improving the existing sugarcane production, introducing crop diversification and potable water through efficient utilization of water from the Pongolapoort Dam in South Africa

Infrastructure – expanding farm development to 234 ha sugarcane and 121 ha diversified crops to secure income generation. Supply 135 households with sanitation facilities and connection to clean water. Income generation secured establishing produce market links.
Capacity building – needs based and structured training will capacitate the community in sugarcane husbandry, livestock enterprising, vegetable production, marketing, social cohesion and leadership, farm and financial management, thereby maintaining sustainability. A comprehensive community plan compiled to clarify settlement rights. Institutional arrangements - establishing committees for water users and maintenance and management of water resources
